Croatian Championship for seniors in taekwondo

Croatian Taekwondo Federation on 29th of May (Saturday) organizes the Croatian Championship for seniors  in the Olympic discipline - wrestling. The competition will be held in the sports hall of the taekwondo club "Zadar".

The facility is divided into two halls so that can be organized the necessary physical distance between the athletes and quality preparation (warming up) of athletes for the fight in one hall  and the performance in the other hall.  About 100 athletes and 30 coaches of the Croatian Taekwondo Association are expected to participate in the Croatian Championship.  A separate timetable will be provided for each weight category to ensure that no more than 25 people are staying in the hall at same time. The fights will take place on two arenas which means that 4 athletes, 4 coaches, 8 judges, 2 doctors and 4 people from the technical staff would be present in the competition hall at the same time.

Only persons with coach and athlete accreditation, as well as technical staff, will have access to the hall. Spectators will not have access to the space where the officials stay. Before entering the hall all accredited persons will have their temperature measured and the records will be in the archives of the organizers according to the prescribed deadlines.

The city of Zadar is the European City of Sports in 2021!

Zadar won the title in June 2020 in front of the commission of ACES Europe, an association of sports cities in Europe based in Brussels that promotes EU programs focused on sports and physical activity which awards the title.

The city of Zadar is carrying out all sports activities in 2021 through the promotion of the title of European City of Sports!
